Introducing Aethir & its Nodes

About Aethir

Aethir is the only Enterprise-grade AI-focused GPU-as-a-service provider in the market. It’s a decentralized cloud computing infrastructure that allows GPU providers to meet Enterprise clients who need powerful H100 chips for professional AI/ML tasks. Aethir also supports cloud gaming clients with GPU and all web3 projects/apps with their Decentralized Cloud Smartphone. Everything within the Aethir ecosystem will be decentralized and community-owned. Checker node licenses being sold are a crucial piece of the Aethir ecosystem, allowing users to participate as independent node operators to validate computing work performed by Containers, accumulating $ATH token as a reward. There will be 15% of the $ATH Total Token Supply being distributed to Checkers.

Roles and Operations of the Network

  • Indexers: They organize and make resources within the network accessible, ensuring that user requests are met efficiently.

  • Checkers: They ensure the integrity and correctness of operations within the network, acting as guarantors for the quality of service.

  • Containers: They are the fundamental element that enables the execution of applications and services, facilitating the use of GPU resources in a flexible and scalable way

How do Checker Nodes Work?

Checker nodes ensure the integrity and service quality of the Aethir network by checking the Container and its service process. The parameters mainly include Liveness, Capacity, and Quality of Service. The checking methods include Heartbeat collection, Benchmark testing, and Link data collection and analysis, etc.

After a Checker Node completes a task, it signs the results with its private key and delivers them to the Referee. The Referee will receive 2N+1 results for each Container, and each Node that delivers the same result as the majority will be rewarded in tokens.

How to Operate a Checker Node?

Anyone can operate the checker node provided they hold the Node License which is offered as a utility attached to an ERC721 NFT, which can be purchased via the Node Sale set to kickstart on 18th March 2024. You can read more about the Node Sale Dynamics, its tier-based pricing, and associated rewards for Operators here

NodeOps to support Aethir Cloud for One-Click Node Deployment

Once users have acquired the node licenses, NodeOps is thrilled to extend the support to Aethir Checker Nodes on NodeOps Console that would enable users to run their operators in a one-click format just as the other protocols supported such as XAI, Celestia, Avail, Zora, Fuel, & others.

Aligning with the vision to provide a truly decentralized compute infrastructure, NodeOps would provide infrastructure support for Aethir Cloud to strengthen the partnership towards Compute & Decentralized GPUs as a service

About NodeOps

NodeOps is dedicated to providing simplified infrastructure tailored for Node Operators and developers, streamlining the development and operations processes for Web3 protocols. Our mission is to offer developers and Node Operators a simplified environment to kickstart their journey with Web3 protocols.
